The Top Ten - week ending 27 October 2018

Welcome back, my fellow loungers!

Saturday has arrived, and despite the chill in the air I'm sure you are all enjoying the chill on the radio.

We have a great Top Ten this week, with Maretimo Records' artist Cocogroove coming in a number one! Congratulations! A beautiful groove that is totally deserving of the top spot. That left Sambox to slip into second. Still a good place to be. (Voting was very close). And jazzhop artist, Crazy Jazz, stays put in third.

I'm sure that most of you are aware of Maretimo's wonderful roster, and this week we see an old favourite, Citrus Jam, jump into the fray from Bubbling Under with a beautiful new track.

And finally, a track from the new Sambox release has been creeping it's way into the rotation, finally earning Bubbling Under status.

Thank you so much for all your support here at the station, and be sure to support the artists, as well. Be sure to use the links, or your favourite download store, to purchase their albums or single tracks. It is truly appreciated.

Have a wonderful weekend! Let me also wish everyone a Happy Halloween next Wednesday. I'm afraid there's not too many Halloween chillout tracks, so programming will be status quo. But when Christmas comes......that's a whole different story! Stay tuned.

Stay chilled.

The Top Ten - week ending 20 October 2018

Welcome to the weekend once again, my fellow loungers!

And thanks for coming back here to the Top Ten. There's so much good music out there, as well as listening sources, that I am humbled by your support here at This is Lounge.

Jazz and chillout seem to crossover seamlessly, as sources of each genre in Spotify, Soundcloud, Apple Music, etc. draw from each other's sounds. I love it! And now we have variations of each adding to the mix as the chillhop and jazzhop variation of hip hop brings a whole new modern feel to the sound.....a sound which I love to support as you all know if you listen to the station.

This week, Sambox stays atop the chart, as the downtempo chill of Cocogroove slides in behind , followed by the, ahem, jazzhop sounds of Crazy Jazz.  A wonderful top three, don't you agree?
