The Top Ten - week ending 26 January 2019

Welcome to the weekend, my fellow loungers!!

Thank you so much for tuning in and supporting the station. We have a wonderful Top ten this week, as Paul Blackford's Commodore Plus leaps into the top spot. Sambox drops to number two and The Warheads leapfrog into the third position.

Lots of voting this week (thank you very much) helps program the station. Surf on over to www.thisislounge.com and cast your vote.

This week also prompts a jump into the Top Ten from chillhop artist Flughand. Bubbling Under this week are three more wonderful tracks. DJ Michael Maretimo brings us Bossa en el Barco, Jazz City downbeats on Hold Me Back, and Soundcloud discovery, Wane of Summer, brings us the chill of Here For You.

Tune in 24/7 to hear these, and so much more. Spring will be her soon enough. Until then, we have a soundtrack to hibernate to. Enjoy, and....

Stay chilled.

The Top Ten - week ending 19 January 2019

Welcome to our humble chart, my fellow loungers!

If are you new to This is Lounge and The Top Ten, our little station is doing our part in spreading the relaxing sounds of chillout, lounge, and jazz. Some people may call it boring, but we find it relaxing.

This week, our friend Sambox retains his position atop the list with his beautiful Solar Wind. Molly Johnson and the Groove Gauchos flip between second and third this week, as the voting gets tighter.

Nice to see The Warheads move up with Love Potion #5. As they are constantly posting new tracks on their Soundcloud page, by the time we have chosen one to play, it is almost considered old! Thanks for all of your output!

We have some new music creeping into the playlist, and one of them - Flughand - has made it to Bubbling Under. I hope you enjoy their jazzhop sound in Mikini.

Thanks again for your votes and support, as they are truly welcome.

Have a great weekend, everyone! Don't forget, in this cold weather....

Stay chilled.

The Top Ten - week ending 12 January 2019

Happy New Year, my fellow loungers!

I hope everyone has recovered from the holiday season. Some of you may have even had a White Christmas!

As we have passed the Winter Solstice, you may be noticing the sun setting later and later, little by little.....only 10 more weeks till Spring!!!!

A few of you have been busy voting over the holidays. So nice to see we weren't completely forgotten over the holidays. That being said, we have a new number one this week, as Sambox's Solar Wind surged ahead. Molly Johnson hangs on at number two, with the Groove Gauchos dropping to number three.

Over the holidays we voted to have The Warheads' track, Love Potion  #5, skip the Bubbling Under phase and go straight to the chart, starting at number ten. Nice track, guys!

Now that the season is over, and we have more hibernation time, don't forget to tune us in for awhile. Thanks for sharing us. It's pretty competitive out there for ear time, what with Mixcloud mixes, and Apple Music and Spotify playlists, not to mention the various radio shows. I like to listen to a little bit of everything, if I can. Kudos to all of you who continue to spread the sounds of chillout, ambient, and jazz.

Once again, thank you soooooo much for the support. Hope your 2019 will be wonderful. Until next weekend,

Stay chilled.
