Welcome back to Saturday, my fellow loungers!

Well, Summer is now officially over here. But 'hello Summer' to all of you listeners in Australia! That's what's so nice about this planet - it's always Summer somewhere!

So even if we can't be in a Summer locale physically, we are in mind. Of course, that leads me to why we are here. The sounds of Summer is the impetus for This is Lounge. So tune in anytime for that relaxing, "sun-on-you-face" warm feeling.

Well, I promised you that we would be adding some new music, and it began this week. Artists like DiboujonePekter, Irina, and Giacomo Bondi. From Spanish-influenced guitar to Brazilian-inspired bossa, we have some great new music added to the playlist.

So with all this new music, the Top Ten list has gone through some changes. First of all, congrats to Michael e for his lovely track, Summertime, reaching number one this week! As Clelia slips to number three, Japanese Breakfast (gotta love the name!) moves into the second spot with their chilled out cover of the Tears for Fears hit.

So, without further ado, enjoy this week's new sounds along with the regular playlist.

Stay chilled.

The Top Ten - week ending 14 September 2019

Welcome back, my fellow loungers!

I hope the weather is good wherever you are. Here, it's sunny and over 20, and that's good enough for me.

If you're at the beach, the water may be chilly, but just being on the sand with a view of the water, as the sun sets.....there's nothing more relaxing.

Unless, of course, your experience is accompanied by the smooth sounds of This is Lounge!

I must apologize this week, as I promised to bring some new releases to the Top Ten. We are all still preview material, so bear with us. I must thank you for continuing to send in your votes for the songs we have. It's interesting t see them move up and down.

And this week, we have a new number one, yet again! Congrats to Clelia Felix, as Keep Watching The Stars moves into the top spot. She truly appreciates your votes. Be sure to click on the link to download a copy of the album the song came from.

All of us here are grateful for your support. Listenership is slowly gaining, thanks to all of you spreading the word. We are on many directories, but radio.net and Radioguide.FM are too of the bigger ones.

The Top Ten - week ending 7 Sept 2019

Happy Saturday! I'm so glad that you came back!

With the temperatures dropping, and the leaves just starting to change colours, Autumn is just around the corner. It seems like we just planted out Summer gardens, and set out the patio furniture......Summer is NEVER long enough, is it?

Well, you can't fight Mother Nature! Only she can create the nice weather and Summer season. The best thing we could do is to follow it around the world, if you could. As it gets colder in one area of the planet, it warms up in another. (Yeah, I'm talking about you, Australia!!!)

There is one thing that we can all agree on, and live with, and that is the sounds of Summer, even if the season is not in sync. That was one of the incentives for me to create This is Lounge. I wanted a station that gave me beach house vibes, and I'd like to think I accomplished that.

You listeners are proof of that. So grab a nice cold cocktail and tune into a wonderful mix of chill and jazz. Cool weather be damned!

And some of those top tracks in that mix are listed right here....every week....Let's check out this week's....

10. Keren Ann – Bleu

As you may have noticed, we haven't had anything "bubbling under" for a couple of weeks. I must apologize for not refreshing the New Releases....but with Summer and vacation, being in front of a computer is one of the last things that you want to do. But that should be rectified very soon. Stay tuned as more music will be added to the playlist shortly.

Thanks for tuning in, and voting, not to mention your "likes" on the Top Ten posts on Facebook.

Be sure to click on the Radioguide.FM link on the right side of the website to access the station live.

Until next time,

Stay chilled.
